What we need from your venue.
A quick checklist so the install goes smoothly — we'll review specifics with you on the call.
Space
Different equipment has different footprints. Here are the working numbers:
- Lounge Dome (small): 20' × 20' clear footprint, plus 3' clearance on all sides.
- Mainstage Dome (medium): 30' × 30' clear footprint, plus 4' clearance on all sides.
- Grand Dome (large): 40' × 50' clear footprint, plus 5' clearance on all sides and 14' overhead.
- Classic Bounce House: 16' × 16' clear footprint, 12' overhead clearance.
- Combo Bounce & Slide: 18' × 22' clear footprint, 14' overhead clearance.
- Obstacle Course: 30' long × 12' wide, 12' overhead clearance.
Overhead clearance means no tree branches, power lines, or roof overhangs above the inflated structure.
Power
Inflatables stay inflated via a continuously-running blower — reliable power is essential. We can provide a generator if your venue can't supply electrical service.
- Standard outlet: A dedicated 120V/20A outlet within 50' of the setup is ideal for one inflatable.
- Multiple inflatables: Each inflatable needs its own circuit. Power strips and daisy-chained extension cords trip breakers.
- Lighting: Battery-powered LED uplights work anywhere. Larger lighting rigs and DJ sound need additional circuits.
- Generators available: Quiet inverter generators rentable as an add-on if your event is off-grid or your venue's electrical can't support the load.
Ground Surface
What we're setting up on changes how we anchor the equipment.
- Grass (preferred): Anchored with ground stakes. The fastest setup.
- Asphalt / concrete / paver: Anchored with sandbags. Add ~30 minutes to setup time.
- Indoor (gym / hall / banquet room): No anchoring required if doors are closed and there's no wind. Check ceiling clearance.
- Slopes: The setup area needs to be reasonably level — less than 5° grade. We can help you assess on site.
- Wet or muddy ground: Not suitable for the safety of the equipment or your guests. We may reschedule if a venue is unsafe.
Access
We bring equipment in via box truck or trailer. Our crew needs:
- A clear, vehicle-accessible path from where we park to the setup location (within ~100' is ideal).
- No locked gates, narrow alleyways, or tight turns we can't navigate without advance notice.
- If your event is at a venue with a loading dock, building manager contact, or specific delivery instructions — let us know during the quote.
Weather
Inflatables are sensitive to high wind, lightning, and heavy rain.
- Wind: Industry safety standard is to deflate at sustained winds over 20 mph. We monitor forecasts and will call you if conditions look risky.
- Rain: Light rain is fine for most equipment. Heavy rain may force a deflation for safety.
- Lightning: All inflatables must be deflated during active lightning storms. No exceptions.
- Backup plan: Always have an indoor alternative or a clear "we'll reschedule" policy with your guests for outdoor events.
Setup & teardown time
- Bounce houses: 30 minutes setup, 30 minutes teardown.
- Inflatable domes (small/medium): 1.5 to 2 hours setup, 1 hour teardown.
- Inflatable domes (large) with full lighting + sound: 3 to 4 hours setup, 2 hours teardown.
We arrive before your event start time and stay through teardown. Setup and teardown windows are included in the quote — no surprise add-on fees.
Permits & venue rules
For events at parks, schools, churches, or commercial venues, the venue may require permits, a certificate of insurance, or pre-approval for inflatable equipment. We can provide our Certificate of Insurance on request. If your venue requires us to be added as an additional insured, give us at least one week's notice.
Not sure if your space works? Send us a photo of the setup area in your inquiry — we'll tell you exactly what fits.
